Alan Shearer is the latest famous face to pledge to the Football League’s Enjoy the Match initiative. The League are encouraging fans to sign up and help remove bad language and violent behaviour from the family areas of all 72 league clubs.
Enjoy the Match Initiative
The Football League has launched its 2009/10 Enjoy the Match campaign – with all 72 League clubs lending their support. ‘Enjoy the Match’ aims to promote a family friendly atmosphere at matches and last season, delivered a significant increase in the numbers of families attending matches. More than two million fans watched Football League matches with members of their family during 2008/09.
The Football league has launched an awareness campaign via it’s Enjoy the Match advert which will be shown online and on big screens at matches. The ad features Phoenix Nights and hit film Looking for Eric star Justin Moorhouse.
