Leroy Lita has signed for Middlesbrough today on a free transfer having finished his contract with previous club Reading in June. Earlier reports suggested that Lita had been made offers from Sheffield United, Leicester and Norwich,but the player has opted for Middlesbrough.

Sheffield United have moved quickly to find cover for goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, who is awaiting the outcome of a failed drugs test. The Blades have signed Blackburn Rovers Mark Bunn on one months loan.
