Norwich manager Glenn Roeder has boosted his striking options by signing Wigan forward Antoine Sibierski on loan.

Roeder took the Frenchman to Newcastle on transfer deadline day two years ago and has now secured his services at Carrow Road until January 18.

The 34-year-old has also played for Manchester City as well as Lille, Auxerre, Nantes and Lens in his homeland.

Roeder told the club’s official website: ‘I`m delighted to have secured the signing of Antoine.

“There are a lot of quality players here, I’m happy and I enjoy playing football here. I like being one of the most experienced players but I’m not going to tell them or show them what they have to do, that’s not me. The best I can give is my commitment on the pitch and that’s what I bring to Norwich City.

“When you’ve done some good things on the pitch, that’s the best thing you can do to show the younger players what you have to do to be a very good professional in the future. They’ve got quality, they’re all good lads and it’s a very good club with a very good squad.”
