Derek McInnes was ‘relieved of his duties’ as Bristol City manager following another dire performance on Saturday afternoon. Chris Wood – who was on loan at Bristol City for part of last season – scored a first half hat trick in Leicester’s 4-0 win, a result that meant the club dropped to the bottom of the Championship.
Update: on Monday morning Sean O’Driscoll was appointed manager at Ashton Gate on a rolling contract. O’Driscoll had been manager at Nottingham Forest until being dismissed recently and had previous managerial experience at Championship level with Doncaster Rovers.
